OkieNerd is friendly tech help for folks who don't speak computer, and we're expanding across Oklahoma. We're looking for dependable, good-hearted people to be the face of OkieNerd in their own town. Set your own availability, keep the majority of every booking, and help your neighbors with the tech that drives them nuts.
OkieNerd is up and running in Lawton, helping real people with their everyday tech every week. We just launched Nerd on Call, our membership for folks who want a Nerd on standby, and our iPhone and Android apps are live on the App Store and Google Play. With the playbook proven at home and the apps in customers' hands, we're ready to take OkieNerd across the whole state, and we're genuinely excited about it.
Serving customers every week, with the playbook already proven in our home market.
Our new subscription puts a Nerd on standby for members, and means steady, repeat work for the team.
Our iPhone and Android apps are live on the App Store and Google Play, ready for the statewide rollout.
The whole state is opening up at once, and the people who join now get to plant their flag first.
No server rooms, no enterprise jargon. You're helping regular folks with the stuff they use every day, patiently and in plain English.
Hop on a quick call and walk someone through their phone, laptop, email, Wi-Fi, or smart-TV trouble.
Show up, sit down next to someone, and fix it in person. This is where the trust gets built.
Cover the nearby towns that don't have their own Nerd yet, and grow your own territory.
Every booking is flat-rate and paid up front through the app, so there's never an awkward money conversation at the door. You just do great work.
You keep the majority of every booking — and 100% of every tip. You see the split up front, no surprises, paid on every completed job. Customer tips are all yours, with no commission taken, paid out weekly.
You set your own availability. Open up the times that suit you in your own calendar. A few evenings a week or full-time, that part is your call.
Bookings come to you automatically. When you're marked available, customers book your open time directly, with sensible buffer times built in around each visit. You're not chasing work or cherry-picking jobs, if you're free, you get the booking.
Paid per completed booking. No clock to punch, no salary, no minimums. The customer pays up front through OkieNerd, so there's never an awkward money talk at the door.
You're independent. Your own tools, any reliable and presentable vehicle, and free to work elsewhere whenever you like.
We bring the customers. OkieNerd handles the brand, the booking, and the payments, so you focus on the fix instead of finding work.
You run your own schedule, but you're never on an island. Local Nerds are part of one real team that backs each other up.
You'll work inside our Google Workspace, with your own OkieNerd email and calendar and the shared tools the whole team runs on.
We get the team together every week over Zoom to share wins, swap fixes, and keep everyone pointed in the same direction.
Now and then we meet up in person, because the best teams actually know each other.
The first Nerd in a market becomes a Founding Nerd. Getting in early makes you the market leader, which means higher priority in the queue as your local team grows. And teams grow with demand and your availability, so the Nerds who show up and deliver get first crack at the volume. You're not just taking calls, you're helping build your corner of OkieNerd.
We're recruiting across all of these markets right now. We're honest that a brand-new market takes time to ramp, and the first Nerd in each one becomes its Founding Nerd, so getting in early is how you end up leading your market.
Oklahoma City · Tulsa
Demand comes fastest here, and a metro can support more than one Nerd. Plenty of room to stay busy from the start.
Lawton · Stillwater · Ardmore · Enid · Muskogee · Ada · Durant · McAlester
Steady local demand and less competition. The best places to become the name people call.
Ponca City · Grand Lake · Altus · Weatherford & Elk City · Woodward · the Panhandle
Smaller and rural markets we serve remotely first, with little to no travel. Lower volume early, real upside as the brand grows.
Don't see your town? If you're near one of these, email us anyway, we're still drawing the map.
