Oklahoma City proper is mostly a house-age problem and an apartment problem, and they pull in opposite directions. In Mesta Park, Heritage Hills, Crown Heights and Gatewood the houses are ninety years old with plaster and lath walls, and Wi-Fi simply does not travel through them; the fix is almost never a better router, it is putting signal on the far side of the wall. In the apartments and lofts downtown and along Automobile Alley the problem inverts: the signal is fine and there are forty of them, all shouting on the same channel, in a building where you are not allowed to drill a hole in anything. Those need different answers and we bring both.
A lot of our favorite visits in the city are with people who have lived in the same house since the seventies and watched everything around them quietly move onto a screen. The bank branch closed, the doctor wants you in a portal, the electric company would rather you used an app. None of that was your idea and none of it was explained. We go at your pace, we explain it in plain words, and we write it down if you want it written down.
We will say this plainly: if a thing is confusing, the thing is badly made. Nobody is born knowing where the settings are, and none of this was designed with you in mind. So there is no question we think is too basic, and there is no such thing as asking us twice. We would genuinely rather spend the extra ten minutes making it make sense than fix it silently and leave you no better off than before we arrived.
Our service area is a distance, not a state line. We measure straight-line miles from Oklahoma City and the hourly rate steps up the farther we drive, which is how the drive gets paid for. That is 14 towns across Oklahoma, covering Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland, Logan, Grady and Pottawatomie counties.

Usually, yes, and it is one of the more satisfying jobs we do. In a dense building most of the trouble is channel congestion and router placement rather than the speed you are paying for, and both are fixable without touching a wall. If it turns out you genuinely need more hardware, we will tell you that before you buy anything.
Yes. We are not selling you internet and we have no side deal with any provider, so we work with the equipment and the plan you already have. If your plan really is the problem we will say so plainly, and you can decide what you want to do about it.
Remote help is $39 for a 30-minute session. In-person visits start at $110 an hour within 25 miles of Oklahoma City, $130 in the 25 to 50 mile band and $145 from 50 to 75 miles, because the higher rate is how we pay for the drive. There is also a Nerd on Call membership at $19.99 a month that includes two remote sessions and an in-person visit a year plus 20% off anything extra. You always approve the price before we start.
Yes. A large share of our work is unhurried one-on-one help for older adults, and we are good at it because we actually enjoy it. We go at your pace, we explain as we go, and we will gladly write the steps down for you to keep.
We are not. Think of us as setup and support rather than repair: connecting, configuring, cleaning up and teaching. Hardware failures and data recovery are somebody else's job, and we will tell you that up front rather than after an hour on the clock.
That is the honest bottleneck. Not demand, not geography: a Local Nerd who knows the area, likes people, and is good at explaining things.
