Meet Nerd on Call, the easy way to stop fighting with your tech. One simple membership gets you a remote help session and an in-person visit every year, plus 20% off anything extra. Real Oklahomans, plain English, never a call center.
When something acts up, text your nerd and ask. You get a quick, plain-English answer instead of holding on a 1-800 line or digging through Google. There's no meter running, and it comes with every Nerd on Call membership.
No contract, cancel anytime. One in-person visit on its own normally runs $110.
New to Nerd on Call? Try it risk-free. If it's not for you, cancel within 30 days and we'll refund your first month — as long as you haven't used an included visit.
Just need a one-time fix? You can still book a single visit, no membership required. We're a setup-and-support service, not a repair shop. Here's where the line is.
Remote: pick a time and we call you then, fixing it on the phone or over a quick screen-share. In person: pick a time and we show up at your door. Either way, you deal with a real person, not a call center.
Buying it for someone else? 🎁 Gift a Nerd on Call membership → — a year of help for a parent, friend, or grandkid.
Backed by our 30-Day Happiness Guarantee — cancel within 30 days for a full refund of your first month if it's not for you (as long as you haven't used an included visit). Already a member? Sign in to your account.
No membership needed. Book a single remote or in-person visit anytime. Most folks who use us more than once or twice a year save with Nerd on Call.
The fastest, cheapest way to get unstuck, for anything that doesn't need hands on the hardware.
For the stuff that needs a real set of hands in your home: Wi-Fi, the new TV, hooking gear up, or that one gadget nobody can figure out.
Rather book by phone? Call 580.400.7475 and we'll set it up with you.
Same friendly help whether you're in Lawton, on Fort Sill, or out in Medicine Park, Elgin, Cache, Walters, Apache, Marlow, Duncan, Anadarko, Chickasha, or Altus. We cross the Red River too: Wichita Falls, Burkburnett, Sheppard AFB, Iowa Park, Electra and Henrietta are all inside the same 75 miles. Coming soon to the Norman & South OKC metro (Norman, Moore, Midwest City, Purcell, Shawnee) and the Ada area (Ada, Konawa, Seminole, Sulphur, Holdenville). And our remote help reaches anywhere else: proudly Oklahoma, but a good screen-share doesn't mind state lines.
Crawling, freezing, pop-ups, or just won't start. Cleaned up and running again.
Dead spots, constant dropouts, a new router that won't cooperate. Fixed.
Setup, moving to a new one, backups, and "why's it doing that?"
Hook up the new TV, soundbar, streaming, Alexa and Google. Set up, not mounted.
Email, passwords, accounts. Back in, cleaned up, and locked down.
Home office, a couple computers, a printer or camera that needs sorting.
Pick remote or in-person, leave your number and a quick note on the problem, and pay the first hour to lock your spot. You know the price up front.
Remote jobs start with our call to you, fixed on the phone or over a screen-share. In-person, we show up at your address (with a quick heads-up call before we head over).
We fix the thing and explain it like humans. Extra time, only if it's needed, is billed in half-hour steps.
We set up, connect, and support your technology and teach you how to use it. We don't repair broken hardware. Here's exactly where the line is.
It’s our membership for folks who want a friendly tech person on call all year. For $19.99 a month you get a remote help session and an in-person visit included every year, 20% off the labor on any extra visits, and a nerd a quick text away. No long-term contract, and you can cancel anytime.
One remote help session and one in-person visit, both included. They are counted separately, so using one does not use up the other. Your included visits reset on your renewal date each year and do not roll over.
You never need a membership. You can always book a single visit at our regular prices. Nerd on Call is for people who use us a few times a year: between the two included visits and 20% off anything extra, it usually pays for itself, and you have someone to text when a quick question comes up.
$19.99 a month, billed monthly. There is no long-term contract and you can cancel anytime from your account. A few fair-use details apply, and they are spelled out in plain English before you join.
Yes. Nerd on Call comes with a 30-Day Happiness Guarantee: if it's not for you, cancel within 30 days of joining and we'll refund your first month, as long as you haven't used an included remote session or in-person visit. It applies once per household, to your first month of dues. After that there's no contract, so you can still cancel anytime and simply won't be charged again.
Remote help works anywhere, by phone, FaceTime, or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer. In-person visits come to the service address on your membership, wherever we have a Local Nerd, within 75 miles of that Nerd’s anchor city. Today that is Lawton, reaching southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. The 25 to 75 mile range adds a small travel charge per visit.
No. It is a courtesy text line for short, simple questions, not a replacement for a visit. Anything that needs real troubleshooting, a screen-share, or hands-on time is a remote or in-person visit, and members get 20% off those.
It depends which you pick. Remote help always starts with a phone call at your scheduled time, and we either solve it on the phone or send a secure screen-share link. For in-person visits, a nerd simply shows up at your address at the scheduled time.
A friendly human who is genuinely good with this stuff, all to yourself for the hour. Your nerd shows up (or calls), figures out what is going on, fixes it or sets it up, and explains it in plain English at your pace, with zero judgment about the fourteen toolbars or the sticky note of passwords. We answer the same question twice without sighing. No pocket protectors, no jargon, no upsell. When the job is done, your nerd heads home happy. Snacks are optional but never refused.
Your time is reserved straight away — no waiting for us to confirm. You’ll get two emails. First, an appointment confirmation with your time, a calendar invitation you can add in one tap, and a link to change or cancel it yourself. Second, a separate payment receipt directly from Stripe. If you don’t see them within a few minutes, check your spam folder or call 580.400.7475.
Yes, from the link in your confirmation email. You can change or cancel free of charge up to 2 hours before a remote session, or 12 hours before an in-person visit — an in-person slot reserves travel time both ways, so it needs more notice. Inside those windows we can no longer move the appointment online. You can still cancel it, but the first hour isn’t refunded — that time was held for you. If that happens we’ll email you a single-use code for 10% off your next visit, good for 90 days. Rescheduling in good time updates the calendar invitation you already have, so you won’t end up with two.
Yes, always. Every remote job begins with our call to you at the time you booked, and there's nothing to install ahead of time. If we need to get on your screen, we'll text you a link right then.
Just your phone number and a short description of what's going on. For in-person visits we also grab your address so we know where to come.
At the time you booked. We don't call ahead to start the appointment, we just arrive at the scheduled time. You'll get a quick courtesy call right before we head your way.
Remote help is $80 for the first hour. In-person is $110 for the first hour within 25 miles of your local OkieNerd, and $130 within 75 miles. After the first hour, time is billed in 30-minute steps. The first hour is paid online when you book.
We measure straight-line miles from your nearest Local Nerd. Within 25 miles is $110 for the first hour, 25 to 75 miles is $130, and past 75 miles we stick to remote help. If you tap the location button when you book and you turn out closer or farther than the option you picked, we will let you know so you land on the right one.
Remote help works anywhere, in any state, by phone and screen-share. In person is our favorite way to help, available wherever we have a Local Nerd: every address within 75 miles of that Nerd's anchor city, whichever state it is in. Today that anchor is Lawton, which reaches across southwest Oklahoma and into North Texas, including Wichita Falls and Burkburnett. The Norman and South OKC metro and the Ada area are coming soon. Enter your ZIP when you book and we'll show what's available where you are.
No. We'll hook up and set up your TV, streaming, and devices, but we don't mount TVs, drill, or run cable inside walls. Any parts or hardware are billed separately.
No. OkieNerd is tech support and setup, not a repair shop. We make working devices work right, set up new ones, connect everything, clean up software, and teach you how to use it. Physical repairs (broken screens, dead hardware, soldering) go to a repair shop, and we're glad to point you to a good one.
We don't repair TVs. If the screen, backlight, or power has failed, that's a repair shop or the manufacturer. What we do is set up a new TV, connect streaming, sound, and inputs, get the apps and remote working, and show you how to use it.
No. We're not a phone repair shop, so no screens, batteries, charging ports, or water damage. We do help you set up a new phone, move your photos and contacts, get email, iCloud, and Google working, and sort out settings and apps.
We can recover and back up files from a working device, and set up backups so it doesn't happen again. We don't do physical data recovery from a failed or dead drive, that needs a specialist lab, but we can point you to one.
Some problems come down to failed hardware or something only a manufacturer can handle. If that's the case, we'll tell you straight and point you the right direction.
Yes. A lot of our work is patient, one-on-one help for older adults across Oklahoma and North Texas. We go at your pace, explain everything in plain English, and never make you feel rushed or talked down to.
Yes, for in-person visits within 75 miles of a Local Nerd’s anchor city. Our Lawton anchor reaches Fort Sill, Medicine Park, Elgin, Duncan, Chickasha and nearby towns, and across the Red River into North Texas: Wichita Falls, Burkburnett, Sheppard AFB, Iowa Park, Electra and Henrietta. We come to your home, set things up or fix the problem, and explain what we did. Remote help is also available anywhere by phone and screen-share.
Often, yes. Remote help is usually same-week and frequently same-day. Pick the earliest open time when you book, or call 580.400.7475 and we'll find the soonest slot.
Book a time and we'll take it from there. Under a minute to set up, and real Oklahomans on the other end.
