Tulsa's housing stock runs from 1920s bungalows in midtown to brand-new builds in south Bixby, and the tech problems follow the architecture exactly. Plaster and lath in the older neighborhoods will stop a Wi-Fi signal cold, which is why so many midtown houses have fast internet at the router and nothing usable in the back bedroom. Newer construction out toward Jenks and Broken Arrow has the opposite problem: plenty of signal, and a dozen devices nobody has ever organized.
There is a large, active 55-plus community across midtown and south Tulsa, and we genuinely love this work. Our whole approach comes down to one idea: you should leave the visit more confident than when we arrived. Anybody can fix a thing and go. In-person visits start at $110 an hour within 25 miles of Tulsa, $130 in the 25 to 50 mile band and $145 from 50 to 75 miles, because the higher rate is how we pay for the drive. There is also a Nerd on Call membership at $19.99 a month that includes two remote sessions and an in-person visit a year plus 20% off anything extra. You always approve the price before we start.
Yes. A large share of our work is unhurried one-on-one help for older adults, and we are good at it because we actually enjoy it. We go at your pace, we explain as we go, and we will gladly write the steps down for you to keep.
We are not. Think of us as setup and support rather than repair: connecting, configuring, cleaning up and teaching. Hardware failures and data recovery are somebody else's job, and we will tell you that up front rather than after an hour on the clock.
That is the honest bottleneck. Not demand, not geography: a Local Nerd who knows the area, likes people, and is good at explaining things.
