Owasso, Claremore, Collinsville, Skiatook, Catoosa, Oologah and north toward Bartlesville. Patient tech help from people who know the area, remotely today and in person once we have a Local Nerd on this side of Tulsa.
Remote help is $39 for a 30-minute session, available in Owasso today. In-person visits open here when we have a Local Nerd on the ground.
A 30-minute remote session is $39 and handles most computer, phone, email, password and account problems without anybody driving anywhere. In-person visits open here as soon as we have a Local Nerd on the ground, and that is a real bottleneck rather than a marketing date. If that could be you, we would like to hear from you.
No jargon, no sighing, no making you feel silly for asking. We explain what we are doing while we do it, and we are glad to explain it twice.
The back bedroom with no signal, the guest network nobody can remember, the router hidden in a closet doing its best. Usually it is placement, not your internet plan.
Streaming is genuinely confusing and there are too many apps. We will get it working and leave you with something you can operate without a manual.
Cleanups, updates, printers that stopped printing, files you cannot find, and backups so a bad day does not become a lost decade.
New phone and everything is in the wrong place. We move it all across, sort the photos out, and make it readable again.
Ask us to slow down and we will. Ask us to write the steps out and we will. Learning it properly once beats calling somebody every month.
Doorbells, cameras, speakers, thermostats and lights, set up so they notify the right phone and you can find them when you need them.
Nobody has a good relationship with their wireless printer. We will get it connected, printing and scanning, and explain why it keeps wandering off.
If something on the screen is trying to scare you into calling a number, that is the scam. We will clean it up and show you how to recognise it.
This is commuter country, and the houses show it: bigger lots, more square footage, and a router sitting in an office at one end of the house trying to cover the whole thing. Wi-Fi coverage is far and away the most common call we get in this part of Green Country. North of Claremore and out toward Nowata and Bartlesville, distances get long enough that we do a lot of remote sessions with the same people we would happily drive to, simply because remote gets them fixed the same day.
Bartlesville, Claremore and Owasso all have real retirement communities, and a lot of them have grandkids who moved away. Making video calls work reliably, on a device that is actually easy to pick up and use, is one of the most satisfying things we do all week.
Our whole approach comes down to one idea: you should leave the visit more confident than when we arrived. Anybody can fix a thing and go. We would rather show you what we did and why, in words that mean something, so that next time you have a shot at it yourself. If you would rather we just handle it, that is fine too. But the offer is always open, and plenty of people take us up on it.
Our service area is a distance, not a state line. We measure straight-line miles from Owasso and the hourly rate steps up the farther we drive, which is how the drive gets paid for. That is 38 towns across Kansas and Oklahoma, covering Rogers, Tulsa, Washington, Nowata and Craig counties.

Somebody two states away is worried that Mom cannot get the TV back to normal, or that Dad keeps getting locked out of his email, and there is nobody nearby to just go and sit with them. You can arrange it for them. Book the session or gift a membership, we handle it directly with them at a time that suits, and you do not have to talk anybody through anything over the phone at nine at night.
Send a Nerd →Not yet. Remote help works here today. In-person visits open when we have a Local Nerd on this side of Tulsa, and the waitlist is the fastest way to hear about it.
Parts of southeast Kansas fall inside the 75 miles we measure from the Owasso and Claremore anchor, including Coffeyville, Caney and Independence. Our service area is a distance, not a state line. Type your ZIP when you book and you will get a straight answer for your address.
Remote help is $39 for a 30-minute session. In-person visits start at $110 an hour within 25 miles of Owasso, $130 in the 25 to 50 mile band and $145 from 50 to 75 miles, because the higher rate is how we pay for the drive. There is also a Nerd on Call membership at $19.99 a month that includes two remote sessions and an in-person visit a year plus 20% off anything extra. You always approve the price before we start.
Absolutely, and we would rather you ask than struggle. No rushing, no talking down, no assuming you already know what a setting is. Tell us you would like to understand it rather than just have it fixed and we will teach you instead.
No, and it matters. We are a setup-and-support service: we get things working, connected and understood. We do not do board-level repair or data recovery on failed drives, and if that is what you need we will tell you plainly instead of charging you to find out.
That is the honest bottleneck. Not demand, not geography: a Local Nerd who knows the area, likes people, and is good at explaining things. Set your own availability, keep the majority of every booking, and help your neighbors with the stuff they cannot get their heads around. See what the role involves or apply here.
Remote help works anywhere, in any state. In-person visits happen wherever we have a Local Nerd, within 75 miles of the city they work from.
