The Panhandle is three counties and a lot of miles, and it is honestly closer to several other states' cities than it is to most of Oklahoma. That is exactly why our Nerd here lives here, rather than driving out from somewhere else. And when the miles still do not make sense, we will get on the phone the same week, see your screen if that helps, and get the thing working without you driving to Amarillo or Liberal.
Distance is the whole story out here. If you are looking after a parent in the Panhandle from somewhere else, a scheduled remote session with someone patient is often the most useful thing you can arrange for them, and we are glad to be that.
Our whole approach comes down to one idea: you should leave the visit more confident than when we arrived. Anybody can fix a thing and go. We would rather show you what we did and why, in words that mean something, so that next time you have a shot at it yourself. If you would rather we just handle it, that is fine too. But the offer is always open, and plenty of people take us up on it.
Our service area is a distance, not a state line. We measure straight-line miles from Guymon and the hourly rate steps up the farther we drive, which is how the drive gets paid for. That is 49 towns across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado, covering Texas, Beaver and Cimarron counties.

You can arrange it for them. Book the session or gift a membership, we handle it directly with them at a time that suits, and you do not have to talk anybody through anything over the phone at nine at night.

Yes, and a lot of people do. You can book the session, we call them at the agreed time, and we can report back to you afterward. There is also a gift option if you would rather pay for it and have them not have to deal with any of the arranging.
Remote help is $39 for a 30-minute session. In-person visits are $110 an hour within 25 miles of Guymon, $130 in the 25 to 50 mile band and $145 from 50 to 75 miles, because the higher rate is how we pay for the drive. Only a $39 deposit is due online when you book an in-person visit; the rest is charged after your Nerd finishes and you sign off on the work. There is also a Nerd on Call membership at $14.99 a month that includes two remote sessions and an in-person visit a year plus 20% off anything extra. You always approve the price before we start.
Absolutely, and we would rather you ask than struggle. No rushing, no talking down, no assuming you already know what a setting is. Tell us you would like to understand it rather than just have it fixed and we will teach you instead.
No, and it matters. We are a setup-and-support service: we get things working, connected and understood. We do not do board-level repair or data recovery on failed drives, and if that is what you need we will tell you plainly instead of charging you to find out.
