Both open bands are being driven and this is still one of our busiest pieces of ground. Anybody in Cleveland, McClain or Grady county is inside it, and we are hiring.
In-person visits are open across this whole market, in every travel band that has towns in it. We are still hiring here: an open market has evenings, weekends and days nobody is covering, and a market running on one calendar has no backup when that calendar is full.

24 towns are measured off the Norman anchor: 15 within 25 miles, 9 in the 25 to 50 mile band. They sit in Cleveland, McClain, Grady and Pottawatomie counties. Every market reaches 75 miles in three travel bands, and the farther bands pay a higher hourly rate because the drive is longer. You choose which bands you take, and you can change it later.

Not sure which market your town belongs to? Apply for the city nearest you and tell us exactly where you live. The markets are built to overlap, most of Oklahoma sits inside two or three of them at once, and you tell us which queues you want bookings from.
Norman is a university town bolted onto a metro suburb, so the work runs from student apartments to established neighborhoods to the farms that start ten minutes south of Blanchard. The near half is fast, dense suburban work. The second band, out toward Chickasha, Lindsay, Maysville and Shawnee, is small-town work where you will often be the only person the customer could have called.
You keep the majority of every booking, and 100% of every tip. You see the split up front. Tips are paid out weekly with no commission taken.
You set your own availability. Open the times that suit you in your own calendar. A few evenings a week or full time, that part is your call.
Bookings come to you. When you are marked available, customers book your open time directly, with buffer time built in around each visit.
Nobody negotiates money at the door. Every booking takes a deposit up front and holds the card. The customer signs off on your phone at the end and the rest charges itself.
You are independent. Your own tools, any reliable and presentable vehicle, and free to work elsewhere whenever you like.
You are not on an island. An OkieNerd email and calendar, a team that meets over video, and other Local Nerds to ask when something is strange.
They overlap on purpose. The metro is mapped as three markets so the booking engine can send the nearest available Local Nerd rather than one from across town. Plenty of people sit on two of them.
Shawnee sits in the second travel band off this anchor, along with Tecumseh. It is a real drive and it pays the higher band rate.
Start to finish usually takes about one to two weeks, depending on scheduling and how fast your background check clears.
