We're the people our neighbors call when the Wi-Fi dies, the new phone won't take their photos, or the TV stopped talking to the remote. If you're patient with people and good with their tech, we'd like to meet you.

- Honest answers.We ask what you can and can't support. A low score costs you nothing. It just tells us which jobs to send you.
- Your own vehicle and a valid license.In-person visits are the core of the work.
- We read it.One of us reads every application.

- A background check, and we pay for it.Only after we've talked. Customers let us into their homes, so everyone is screened.
- Onboarding.Your contractor agreement and direct deposit, 20 to 30 minutes in one sitting.

Your devices and skills
Customers call us about whatever they own. This tells us which jobs would suit you, and which ones wouldn't. Be honest. Nobody's expected to know everything, and a low rating won't count against you.
You can't troubleshoot a platform you've never touched. Check everything you personally have access to.
A lot of what we fix is solved on a call where you can see the customer's screen instead of guessing. You do that through OkieNerd's own tools, so there's nothing extra to install.
Rate where you are today. We use this to route jobs, never to rank you against other Local Nerds.
